Framer vs WordPress for a Small Yorkshire Business
The useful question is not which platform is fashionable. It is which one you can still edit in a year.
Why this comes up
Usually the current site is slow. Or it broke after an update. Or someone is on a monthly fee just to keep it standing. Fair reasons to ask.
What you actually need
A site that looks like the company. Loads on a phone. Brings in work. And can be edited without fear. Opening hours. A new service. A new photo.
For most small business sites, Framer is simpler for that. Fast without a pile of plugins. Less to break on a Tuesday. Easier to change the words yourself.
Where WordPress still wins
A big shop. Membership with lots of permissions. Old software that has to talk to the site. Hundreds of posts and a complicated library. If that is the job, WordPress or something like it is the honest answer.
Look at five years, not the build price. Plugin licences, hosting, and little maintenance jobs add up. A cheaper build you cannot edit is the expensive one.
If the site looks alright and the work is still not coming in
That is usually the words and the layout, not a new colour scheme. A short call is enough to see which.
