How Long Does It Take to Build a Website?
A proper business site is weeks, not days. The delay is almost never the build. It is waiting on words and photos.
Honest timescales
A single page, done properly, is about one to two weeks. A five to eight page business site is usually three to six. A shop or a booking system takes longer. Better to say eight weeks and mean it than four weeks and miss it.
Where the time goes
First, what the site is for. More of the right clients. More sales. Then the order of the pages, then how it looks, then putting it together so it can be edited later.
The visible design part is often the quickest. The slow part is content. Photos. What you actually want to say about each service. A decision only you can make.
How to keep it moving
Have photos ready. Rough notes on each service. Rough is fine. Waiting on those is how a six week job becomes three months.
It can be faster if the job is small and answers come back the same day. Speed comes from decisions, not from working weekends.
