The short answer
You do not need a blog. You might benefit from writing. Those are different things, and confusing them is how businesses end up with four abandoned posts from 2022 sat on their site.
When writing pays
It pays when your customers ask the same questions before buying. Every one of those questions is a page that can bring in people searching for exactly that. Cost, timescales, how the process works, what happens if something goes wrong.
It also pays when you serve distinct areas or trades. A page written properly for one town or one type of customer will outperform a general page, because it matches what somebody actually typed.
When it does not
If you are writing industry news nobody searches for, it does not pay. If you are posting because somebody said you should post, it does not pay. Two thin posts a month for six months does less than one genuinely useful page.
What to write instead
Take the five questions you answer on the phone every week. Write one plain page for each, in the words your customers use. That is it. No schedule, no content calendar, nothing to keep up with.
One honest note
Writing takes time or money. If you have neither right now, fix your main pages first. A clear homepage beats a blog every single time.
