Why Your Website Is Slow on Mobile

They tap the link, nothing happens, they go back. You never see them in any report.

What slow actually costs

Someone taps your link on a bus with a bad signal. Nothing appears. After a couple of seconds they go back and try the next one. You do not see a bounce. They never arrived.

Looking good does not help if the page never shows up.

What makes it slow

Huge photos, first. A picture straight off a phone can be enormous. Twenty of them on one page is fatal on mobile data.

Then extras. Chat widgets. Sliders. Popups. Review feeds. Each one is a little wait. Together they are why people leave.

Fix it in a sensible order

Shrink the images. Take off anything that is not earning its place. Then look at the platform if it is still crawling.

Test it honestly. Not on office wifi. Phone, outside, wifi off. Count the seconds. That is what a customer gets.

If the site looks alright and the work is still not coming in

That is usually the words and the layout, not a new colour scheme. A short call is enough to see which.
